“A Day of Remembrance”
Church bells will ring for one minute at 12pm in honor and remembrance of the victime of violence in our communities.

“Protecting Our Children”
"The When I Get Mad I Draw" art contest will be held among New Bedford Public School students. Winners will be selected to receive backpacks full of art supplies. The art will be on display at the YWCA, 20 So. Sixth Street, New Bedford during the week: Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm and prizes will be awarded on Saturday at the Block Party, 12pm-3pm.

"Safe Zones" will be working with children to help them deal with issues regarding bullying and violence in or out of school. ywkids school age program, 89 Merrimac Street, New Bedford. 3pm-5pm.
